Electricity costs are up 11% in 2022 and are projected to keep increasing! This past Earth Day, President Biden and the administration brought leaders from across the globe to rally support for building a renewable energy economy and cutting global emissions in half by 2030.

We want to help create a future where communities can move beyond fossil fuels and towards clean energy. Solar electricity generation has increased by 800% since 2010, reaching 97.2 gigawatts (GW) of installed capacity as of December 2018. This is equivalent to taking 24 million vehicles off the road, saving 12 billion gallons of gas or planting 2 billion trees. These numbers are expected to grow steadily over the next ten years.

Despite impressive numbers, we will still fall short of the Presidents emissions and clean energy goals. Achieving 100% clean electricity will require U.S. solar installations to increase by more than 80% beyond what’s currently forecasted over the next 10 years. Now is the time for the administration and Congress to come together and enact policies that boost clean energy deployment.
